We are so delighted to have been awarded the prestigious School Mark Gold award for excellence in sustainable travel from Sustrans. We are one of only eighteen schools in the whole of Northern Ireland to reach this remarkable achievement and celebrated today with a special ‘Gold Day’!
Sustrans Active Travel Officer for the North East, Johnny McCrystal said “Presenting this award to Macosquin Primary is a reward for their excellent efforts in promoting a healthy and environmentally friendly culture of school travel. Active school travel has a wide range of benefits including helping families to get more physical activity, reduced traffic congestion and cleaner air around schools”.
