Our Reception children have been exploring mark making in lots of exciting ways! The children experimented with creating marks using natural materials such as blackberries and hydrangea flowers. They also practised mark making at different levels – from vertical spaces (like easels and walls) to horizontal spaces (such as tables and floors).
These playful experiences help to build early writing skills, creativity, and physical development, while encouraging the children to see that marks can carry meaning, in lots of fun and natural ways! 🌿✍️💜
