π Den Building in P1 π
Our P1s had their very first go at den building during play today πβ¨
We kept resources simple – just tarpaulin and pegs – as it was our very first try. The children amazed us with their teamwork, problem-solving and creativity. They worked together to overcome challenges, including when the den roof just wouldn’t stay up! Some of the boys made their own chalk signs(“children and teachers only” and a big ‘X’ to tell everyone to keep out!), and even created a campfireto cook chicken and sausage rolls once the den was completeπ₯π₯. Our playground spinners became towering mountains as imaginations soared!
This was such a learning-rich adventure for everyone, and we can’t wait to try new approaches and materials as our experiences progress π±
Elsewhere during play this week, Autumnal pictures were created, sounds were practised on hopscotch, leaf imprints were made in dough, numbers were sorted, acorns were studied, strong hands were devloped and Hairy Maclary characters were drawn on the iPads. Wow!
π Keep an eye on our Facebook page tomorrow to find out how you can help us gather even better resources for den building and other outdoor play experiences – and be in with the chance to win an amazing cash prize! π·π
