Year 5C enjoyed taking their Numeracy learning outdoors!
We paired up with our friends and used chalk to trace around our bodies. We then calculated the area of our bodies by estimating how many multilink cubes could fit inside before working it out!
We learnt that Area is the term used to define the amount of space taken up by a 2D shape or surface. We measure area in square units : cm² or m².
