Our P4 learners took their maths learning outside and went on an exciting 2D shape hunt around the school grounds! 🕵️♂️🔍🌳
The class worked in teams to spot real-life examples of circles, triangles, squares, rectangles, pentagons, hexagons and more around our environment. From playground markings to windows and signs — shapes are everywhere when you know where to look! 👀✨
This activity helped us to:
✅ Identify and name 2D shapes
✅ Recognise shapes in the environment
✅ Work collaboratively and share ideas
✅ Build confidence in using mathematical language
We had lots of fun exploring, recording our findings and discussing how shapes are used all around us. Brilliant teamwork and enthusiastic learning from everyone! 👏🥰📚
