⚽️P5 North-west Cup Tournament⚽️

19th Jun 2025

Our Primary 5 team took part in the Northwest Cup tournament at Coleraine University, competing with determination and pride across three fiercely contested matches.

We began the day against a strong Damhead team, who would go on to reach the final. Despite a hardworking performance, we lost 0-3, but the team remained positive and eager to improve.
Next up was a thrilling game against Portstewart, which ended in an exciting 2-2 draw. Tom struck first after a smart assist from Jake. Blake then produced a fantastic solo finish to level the game and secure a well-earned point for the team.
Our third and final tournament fixture was against St Malachy’s. We created over 15 shots on goal, dominating much of the game, but were narrowly defeated 0-1 thanks to some outstanding defending and goalkeeping from the opposition.
After the tournament, we played a friendly match against Hezlett, where the team truly shone in a brilliant 5-0 victory. Reuben assisted Blake for the opener. Troy added a great second goal with a well-placed pass from Kaitlyn. Jacob fired in a super finish after a neat assist from Ethan.  Blake went on to score two more goals, one assisted by Jake, completing a well-deserved hat-trick.
Well done to everyone today! Our players demonstrated excellent teamwork, resilience, and sportsmanship. They represented our school with pride and gave their all in every match.

A huge thank you to all the parents and supporters who came to cheer us on – your support meant the world to the team.

And of course, a massive well done to our brilliant squad:
Charlie, Logan, Blake, Ethan, Kaitlyn, Noah, Riley, Reuben, Jacob, Cody, Tom, Jake, and Troy – you were a credit to yourselves and your school!
